Back for its tenth year, the Rubber Duck Regatta is set to raise money for charity while entertaining hundreds of Dayton and Miami Valley residents.
This much-loved fundraiser is a Miami Valley community favorite. Each year, more than fifteen thousand ducks are dropped by crane into the Great Miami River at the Pedestrian Bridge. Excited people of all ages look on as the ducks race to the finish line at Riverscape’s Festival Plaza Pavilion.
At 3:30 p.m. on September 21, the event will kick off with the Quacky Kid’s Parade. The Big Drop will follow, officially starting the duck race. Those who have purchased ducks—$5 for one or $25 for 6—have the chance to win great prizes!
The event takes place in conjunction with the Taste of Miami Valley festival.
Proceeds from the Rubber Duck Regatta will benefit the United Rehabilitation Services of Greater Dayton. This organization works to improve the quality of life of children and adults with special needs through a variety of local services and programs.
I encourage you to join your neighbors and friends in attending this exciting event! This fundraiser not only supports a wonderful cause but also puts on an event fun for the whole family.
