According to the Pew Research Center, 10,000 baby boomers will retire every day for the next 15 years. Unfortunately, an Insured Retirement Institute survey from 2015 reported that only 27 percent of boomers are confident their savings will last, and only 19 percent feel they will be able to cover any long-term care needs.
According to the same survey, more than half of boomers expect to budget more income for travel and leisure activities, but only 19 percent have $250,000 or more saved for retirement. This raises the following question:
Are long-term health care costs going to eat away at any savings you have set aside for the leisurely retirement pursuits?
Fortunately, for those who have asked the right questions, there are some steps that can be taken to protect your estate, assets, and retirement savings from the high costs of long-term health care.
We have discussed many of these steps in other blogs and resources on this website, such as “Medicaid and Nursing Homes: Planning Techniques” and “Long-Term Care in Dayton, Ohio.”
We have pulled all of our valuable resources together into a two-hour information-packed and FREE seminar.
We will cover all the smart questions we get, such as:
- How can I plan for long-term health care?
- How can I reduce anxiety over the thought of long-term care causing financial hardship to us or our kids?
- What financial options are available when I need to move into a nursing home?
- Are there financial options that can help me stay at home instead of a nursing home?
- Is there something I need to do NOW that will help with Medicaid in the future?
- Can I qualify for government assistance for long-term care?
- How can I protect my assets from probate so my kids can benefit from my estate?
- And more…
If you are in the Dayton area and have even a hint of doubt about your understanding or readiness for protecting your assets from long-term health care, you should attend this seminar.
