Time to lace up the skates and put on the scarves, Dayton: the MetroParks outdoor ice rink is open and ready for you and your friends.
Head over to Riverscape MetroPark (111 E. Monument Avenue, Dayton, Ohio) to take part in this winter tradition. If you’re on a budget, don’t worry: weekday skating is free, with skate rentals only $5. During weekends, admission is $7 but includes the use of rental ice skates.
This affordable, family-friendly event is open through Feb. 28, so be sure to take advantage of this winter activity while it lasts. Visiting the rink is becoming an annual tradition for many Miami Valley families looking for a fun day in the Ohio cold.
The rink is also perfect for a unique date, so be sure to bring your sweetheart.
If ice skating is a passion of yours (or somebody you know), why not buy a season pass? For $75, you can get a season pass that covers your entire family (up to five people), including admission and rentals. For individuals, the season pass is just $40.
If you can only take the cold for so long, stop by the adjacent Silver Fern Café, open during skating hours. There you can warm up with a cup of homemade soup, a fresh grilled panini, or, of course, a hot chocolate or cappuccino.
From all of us at Lovett & House Co., LPA, please take advantage of this great winter activity in Dayton. After your skating session, be sure to stop by our Monument Avenue office, just two blocks down the street from the rink!
