With summer in full swing, it is the perfect time to get outside and get active with your family and friends. And a great way to do this is by biking.
We’re fortunate to live in a city that offers so many opportunities for fun, safe biking.
The League of American Bicyclists has called Dayton a “Bike Friendly Community,” according to the Dayton/Montgomery County Convention & Visitors Bureau. Dayton received this recognition because of the city’s commitment to encouraging cycling and providing safe accommodation for the activity. Bicycling Magazine also listed Dayton as a Top 50 Cycling City in the U.S.
Whether you’re a biking novice or expert, you can enjoy the many biking paths and trails in the city, including:
- Creekside Trail
- Stillwater River Trail
- Mad River Trail
- Great Miami River Trail
- Iron Horse Trail
- Wolf Creek Trail
If you don’t own a bike, you can rent one! RiverScape MetroPark offers bike rental on Saturdays and Sundays during the summer.
