16-January-2013 –The firm of Lovett & House Co., LPA is excited to announce that estate planning attorney and founding partner George Lovett was granted Honorary Membership to the Ohio Municipal Electric Association (OMEA). The OMEA is a non-profit organization whose mission is protecting Ohio’s 81 public power communities. The OMEA works as an advocate for municipal power systems, promoting awareness of public power issues and informing the public as well as organization members.
The Ohio Municipal Electric Association honors a select few individuals with this membership each year due to their contribution to municipal power. George Lovett was selected because of his high commitment and level of service to Tipp City, Ohio and public power in the area.
Mr. Lovett has long been involved in and dedicated to the betterment of the community. He has served on the Tipp City City Council, Tipp City Chamber of Commerce, and the Tipp-Monroe Community Services. In addition, Mr. Lovett served as Mayor of Tipp City from 2006 to 2007. Among his numerous activities done for the community, he has been a member of the Policy Planning Council of the American Public Power Association and the Ohio Municipal Electric Association Board of Directors.
