As we get older, it becomes increasingly important to stay active and healthy. And now that the weather has finally warmed up and spring seems to have settled in, it’s an excellent time to exercise outdoors.
Biking has a number of health benefits: it can be good for your heart, muscles, and coordination. It’s also relatively low-impact. If you don’t live too far away from your workplace, biking to work can be great exercise. If you do live a bit too far away to realistically bike to work, you can still bike for fun.
This month, Dayton is getting in the spirit of biking by celebrating National Bike to Work Day at RiverScape MetroPark. Riverscape MetroPark’s Bike Hub is hosting a pancake breakfast in the morning on May 17. From 7 a.m. to 9 a.m., you have the opportunity to stop by on your way to work to enjoy delicious pancakes as well as live music and the company of your fellow Dayton residents. The entire event is completely free.
RiverScape MetroPark is located at 111 E. Monument Ave. To learn more about this event, visit the downtown Dayton events calendar.
